Really enjoying taking notes on the fly like this. I’m expecting this space to be where I post thoughts the most so I do need a better way of organising them, but also a better way of posting. A while ago I was playing around with posting a note via SMS using Twilio and IndieKit — I must reopen that and give it another go.

Finished A Clash of Kings — some clear differences from the TV adaption but nothing which has impacted the overall story as yet. I enjoyed this more than A Game of Thrones but that was mainly because of the lack of difference between the TV and book adoptions. I do wish I read the books first but there you go. On to A Storm of Swords!

We’ve just posted Lotties Wisdom Panel DNA kit after much fussing to get the swabs in her mouth for cheek cell samples. Not sure what to expect but looking forward to getting the results back nonetheless.

For almost a month I’ve been playing around with the early access release of Cron — touted as the next generation of calendar apps for professionals and teams. The experience is overall improved from Google but I’m not yet convinced that this will completely “change the game”. I have been using it as an individual so next steps is to see how it plays with my work calendar.

Got access to the TestFlight alpha of Ivory by Tapbots — a few hours usage and its the subtle details which are making my Mastodon experience so much better: A clearer user experience, tighter leading on the typography (I wonder if this could be a setting to change for folks) and pleasant transitions between states.
