With over a decade in digital product design, I've built and scaled design systems that change how organisations work, not just how they look. A designer who codes, I believe the highest-quality teams validate ideas with real, accessible front-end code — and I've spent my career making that the norm. I bring systems thinking, front-end craft, and strategic leadership to organisations where design quality at scale genuinely matters.

Checkout.com
Staff Product Designer: August 2021 – Current
Driving craft, systems thinking, and strategic vision across enterprise merchant experiences at Checkout.com. Led the Checkout Design System from its earliest foundations to become a critical part of how the organisation ships product, while shaping product strategy, mentoring designers, and influencing at executive level. Highlights include:
- Over four years as lead architect and owner of the Checkout Design System — scaled from proof-of-concept to full implementation across the merchant experience, establishing governance, contribution models, and documentation that enabled organisation-wide adoption.
- Led a brand refresh through the design system with a lean two-designer, two-engineer team — delivered with minimal disruption across the merchant experience thanks to prior investment in adoption and component architecture.
- Partnered with senior leadership to define and deliver a usage metrics framework drawing real insights from production code, reported quarterly as part of global design org reporting.
- Led the accessibility strategy, implementation, and culture shift across the design system and Dashboard — directly contributing to two new merchant wins with $1m+ processing volumes who had previously flagged accessibility commitment as a blocker, and strengthening our position in RFP processes.
- Designed a five-year vision and strategy for Merchant Care, presenting future concepts to the CEO. A new product pillar was subsequently formed to pursue the high-impact opportunities identified.
- Led design and strategy for a comprehensive revamp of the Analytics experience, unifying payment lifecycle storytelling and elevating data visualisation across Dashboard. In 2026, Checkout.com's Forrester score for data, analytics and insight rose from 3/5 to 5/5 — placing the company alongside Stripe and Adyen as industry experts.
- Championed a culture shift in the design org by enabling designers to prototype in real front-end code using AI tooling — building a Dashboard prototype kit using React, defining and implementing agentic skills and collaborating with engineering to create onboarding guidance for designers contributing to production codebases.
- Mentored designers across seniority levels — supporting senior designers pursuing leadership paths and upskilling designers to use front-end code as a design material, shifting how they validate and communicate ideas.

Twilio
Senior Product Designer: February 2019 – July 2021
Delivered across enterprise, consumer mobile, and developer experience at Twilio — bringing mobile expertise to an established contact centre platform, leading a greenfield product from concept to beta, and shipping a developer API experience to general availability.
- Joined Twilio Flex (a contact centre platform) as a mobile specialist, shipping a responsive framework that brought the existing desktop experience to mobile for agents and supervisors in the field.
- Led the design of Flex's programmable component system — a flexible, fully customisable UI framework enabling enterprise customers to purchase and inject individual components into third-party platforms such as Salesforce. Built the colour, typography, and spacing system underpinning the framework and aligned with PMM to ensure a consistent story from technical documentation through to marketing and sale.
- Presented Flex to an audience of developers and customers at Twilio's annual SIGNAL conference at the Moscone Center, San Francisco.
- As sole lead designer, took Twilio Frontline from concept to private beta — a consumer iOS and Android app targeting frontline and field workers managing multiple messaging channels (SMS, WhatsApp, webchat) on the move. Designed a reimagined chat interface with multi-worker collaboration features, built on a customer-configurable design system enabling persistent brand experiences across all worker devices.
- Ran a two-month field trial of Frontline with 18 Nordstrom employees across their San Francisco stores — iterating rapidly, sometimes shipping design changes within hours for next-day testing. Devised a Flex-to-Frontline connector to enable remote testing under Covid restrictions; the connector proved sufficiently useful that it shipped as part of the beta release.
- Spent four months taking the Conversations API Console experience from beta to general availability — aligning the experience to Twilio Paste design system patterns, contributing components back to the system, and designing clear migration pathways for users moving from legacy APIs.
